Ferry Gastvrij Grou sails across the Rjochte Grou and De Galle between the Hellingshaven in the center of Grou and restaurant Oan ‘t Wetter on Waterpark Yn ‘e Lijte.

The ferry connection is popular with cyclists from De 8 van Grou and guests of Yn ‘e Lijte. Nothing is more fun than sailing to the other side. An experience and much faster than detouring!

In the village near the Hellingshaven, there is a yellow bell pole on the waterfront. With the push of a button you can summon the ferry. Please allow for several minutes of waiting time.

The skippers of ferry Gastvrij Grou wish you lots of cycling and boating fun!

Ferry De Burd crosses the Prinses Margriet Canal and connects the village of Grou with the island of De Burd.

The ferry sails from the Garde Jagerswei near the “Haans Krite.” The island is definitely worth a visit!

The  island is part of National Park De Alde Feanen.  On the island of De Burd, especially enjoy the wide views, the cultural-historical landscape, special plants, numerous birds and the many horses that walk there in summer. There are also three beautifully restored mills. Most of the island’s pattern of ditches has existed since the 15th century. Be sure to bring binoculars and take a good look around, as there is a good chance you will see a group of deer.

The skippers of ferry De Burd wish you lots of biking and boating fun!
