The very best way to explore National Park De Alde Feanen is by water. Pet holes, narrow ditches, lakes, wide canals all connected into one big boating area. A common response from first-time recreational boaters passing through De Alde Feanen is, “that this exists in the Netherlands! You imagine yourself in a vast green bog paradise that almost looks foreign. Peace and quiet in a very varied landscape. Boating in De Alde Feanen National Park for the first time can be quite tricky since the area is one big maze of ditches and ponds. Therefore, we have put a number of routes in the cruising app so that you are guaranteed to see the most beautiful places of the area! If you want to make longer trips, you can navigate a route through the reopened Polderhoofdkanaal to Nij Beets or a round of Warten/Wergea/Grou.
