Special canoe and suppa paradise in the heart of Friesland

National Park the Alde Feanen is a prime location for wonderful canoe and sup trips. Lots of sections of the nature reserve are accessible exclusively by canoe and sup. Intimate ditches, potholes full of blooming water lilies, peace & quiet and an overwhelming wealth of birds and plants make canoeing and supping in De Alde Feanen the ultimate nature experience that is almost foreign. There are several canoe and su trails, each with its own character and landscape type.

There are several canoe and sup areas around Earnewâld: The electric-only boating area around and in the hiking area of the 40-Mêd and the Wikelslân. There is a canoe and sup route around the Jandurkspolder and in De Alde Feanen itself there are also some exclusive (and highly recommended!) canoe and sup areas such as the Neeltsje Moui’s gatten. Visit the tourist office for more info. Guided canoe excursions are also organized from the visitor center during the summer months. The boating app also includes several canoe and sup routes.
