Nature organization It Fryske Gea and National Park De Alde Feanen welcome nature lovers to Information Point de Alde Feanen.
This pop-up location in the center of Earnewâld is the starting point for a visit to the Alde Feanen nature reserve.
The volunteer staff are happy to talk to you and tell you about the most beautiful spots!

The Alde Feanen is more than 2,500 hectares in size.
This unique low moorland area consists of lakes, peat holes, canals, grasslands, reed beds and marsh forests.
The diversity of nature, landscape and heritage can be seen during a visit to one of the six subareas:
1. It Wikelslân, Reid om’ e Krite, Fjirtich Mêd,
2. Jan Durkspolder, Lytse Mear, Westersanning,
3. Pettebosk,
4. Wyldlannen
5. the Burd and
6. it Eilân.
Here you will find beautiful hiking trails for young and old, canoe routes, observation towers and several bird-watching huts.

Nature outings for everyone

beautiful excursions are organized from Information Point de Alde Feanen and members of It Fryske Gea can join for free or at a discount.
Ideal if you want to combine an outing with nature education.
The excursion boat is within walking distance of the information point for various departures and the canoe is also popular.
All under the guidance of a nature guide, so you won’t get lost and go home with interesting nature facts.
There are also great hiking trails available, including Ûle ‘s QR adventure trail.
Popular with kids with cell phones who have a hard time getting outside.
This activity has both and secretly helps parents organize a responsible outing.

Old and familiar

After the sale and closure of visitor center the Wiidpleats, the search began for another home.
This has been found for the next three years at Wiidswei 32. Inside, the pop-up Information Point de Alde Feanen is old and familiar, befitting its temporary nature, decorated with reused materials and furniture. Here you can water the plants, refill your own water bottle and meet our volunteer staff. As true fans, they will share their experiences with you and give useful tips, so that afterwards you can go outside into nature full of inspiration.

Register for an excursion or activity in advance online and directly at the Information Point de Alde Feanen desk. As a member of It Fryske Gea, don’t forget to bring your guardian pass. This allows you as (grand)parents/caretakers to take your (grand)child out into nature as well!
