PRINCENHOFTOCHT SKÛTSJES

At the beginning of the sailing season, local skûtsjes compete for honor in a friendly tour race. If the wind is favorable, the trip will start at 13:00 on the Earnewâldster Wiid after which the fleet will sail through the village towards the Princenhof. This provides a magnificent spectacle for the spectator as all the ships try to pass the narrow waterway in the village at the same time.

The Princenhof Tour can be followed for free by boarding the tour boat of Rondvaardij Princenhof. Starting at noon, the tour boat will be ready at the Otter Statue. Departure is at 12:30 p.m.

After the tour, it is time for strong stories and a social gathering in the village. This is also where the Feankeninginne will arrive around 4 p.m..
