Orchestra for the Sick and Seafarers

Sick and seafarers, they play for everyone. Mostly Frisian and sometimes Dutch songs. Often their own lyrics, with a laugh and possibly, at will, a tear. The orchestra consists of “leading lady” and queen of the elderly song festival Trienke Hoogenberg, accordionist Jan Smidstra and brothers Harm and Klaas Kasma, on ukulele and bass guitar, respectively. Together they are “The Orchestra for the Sick and Seafarers.

Be surprised on Sunday afternoon, September 15, 2024 from 2 p.m. by this extraordinary orchestra.

This activity is part of the summer activities organized in Earnewâld under the banner “Eltse snein wat by d’ein!”. Every Sunday afternoon from May through September, the middle class and local associations organize an activity that takes place in and around the center of Earnewâld.
