IEPEN CHAMPION KIP IELRIKJEN EARNEWÂLD (eel smoking)

11.00 – 17.00 | Already the 13th Iepen Kampioenskip Ielrikjen Earnewâld on Sunday, September 29, 2024. In this annual championship, the best eel smokers come to Earnewâld to compete with each other.

This year, 20 participants are competing for honors and prizes.

Come watch eels being smoked the traditional way, each with their own smoking technique and recipe. And of course, you can taste this delicacy straight from the smokehouse.

Location: Parking lot opposite the Fiskrinder, Wiidswei 36, Earnewâld.

This activity is part of the summer activities organized in Earnewâld under the banner “Eltse snein wat by d’ein!”. Every Sunday afternoon from May through September, the middle class and local associations organize an activity that takes place in and around the center of Earnewâld.
